So distinctive and fine. Beautiful and different.

About The Wine
Grace's home vineyard in Akeno is called Misawa, after the family name. It is planted to numerous grapes, but the Bordeaux varieties take centre stage for reds. Merlot and Cabernet Franc are the backbone of this glidingly beautiful release.
Lifted cedar and black fruit flavours dominate but this is not a heavy-oak red. It is a long, elegant, fine-boned wine, which after some years is starting to reach the perfect drinking plateau.
Deeply satisfying wine that will unfurl and improve over the next decade but is frankly delicious now.
About Grace Vineyard
Grace Wine was founded by Chotaro Misawa in the Katsunuma village in 1923.
Today, the wines are made by his great, great granddaughter, Ayana, who has worked in top wineries from Australia to France in an effort to increase her wine knowledge and bring a higher level of expertise to her family's winery.
Grace implements a more progressive viticultural program than is the norm in Japan, which has made them the benchmark for quality in the small Japanese winemaking community. These are elegant wines that speak quietly and beautifully of a culture that is just coming of age on the world stage for wine.
