About The Wine
Fetherston is a relatively young venture operating out of the Yarra Valley.
Winemakers Chris Lawrence and Camille Koll are making some very high quality wines from the Yarra and broarder Victoria. Excellent value, classy packaging, rock-solid winemaking. These cats are doing it right.
They love Nebbiolo and like so many of the younger generation producers in Victoria, have made the pilgrimage to the Malakoff vineyard in the Pyrenees in search of fruit.
They have delivered a spot-on example of contemporary Australian Nebbiolo. It shows lovely, bright, rosy perfume, vibrant red fruit characters and plenty of the structure that you want out of the variety. Pound for pound, it's one of the best value Nebbiolos in the country right now.

VINEYARD: Malakoff, Landsborough (Pyrenees) Victoria
WINEMAKING: Crafted from a single parcel of premium Nebbiolo from the acclaimed
Malakoff Estate vineyard. Hand-picked in mid April, the fruit was separated into two ferments - one being destemmed whole berries (65%) and the other consisting of 100% whole bunches (35%). After undergoing spontaneous fermentation, the whole berries were left on skins for an additional 130 days to allow optimum tannin integration. The wine was matured in a mixture of new (17%) and seasoned French oak barriques for 12 months before bottling.
TASTING NOTE: Garnet in colour, this wine delivers aromas of macerated cherries, raspberry, antique leather, aniseed and lifted floral notes. The palate offers sour cherry, rose hip, rosemary and hints of liquorice finishing with assertive yet fine, silky tannins.

A fragrant, aromatic bouquet showing floral perfume, anise like herbs and red-berried fruit. It's quite light-bodied, barely medium really, but the delicacy and gentle persistence win you over. Do I have to order in dozens? No, please mix it up! You can order wines in any quantity and variation you like. You can order 1 bottle or 50. We challenge you to make the ultimate mixed pack of wine!
Are there volume discounts? No, our pricing is designed to be the best in market already - no marking up and then discounting down! For very large orders (weddings, etc) we are open to negotiating though. Just give us a call.
Do we price match? Yes, within reason. Everyday low & consistent pricing is something we strongly believe in. We want our customers to feel confident they are always getting the best price. If you see a price lower somewhere else let us know and we'll consider matching it. We'll even retrospectively issue you store credit if you have already purchased from us but you see a lower price somewhere later on. Our price match policy can be seen here.
Can coupons and discounts be stacked? No, only one discount or coupon can be applied to an order at once.
I am trying to add more of a wine to my cart but it won’t let me? This means we are running low on stock of that wine. So for example, if the website will only allow you to add 3 bottles and no more, then that is all we have of that particular wine. The good news is we may be able to order more for you. Just contact us on 02 8376 8775 or hello@differentdrop.com and we'll organise the additional quantity for you.
Does Different Drop have a physical store? No. Just an a warehouse/office. We occasionally do events however, so sign up to our newsletter or follow us on instagram to stay in the loop.
Can I special order a wine you do not sell? If it’s doable, then we’ll make it happen. Just contact us directly via phone, chat or email and we’ll find out for you right away. Please note that in most cases special orders such as these will need to be in full case lots (6 or 12 bottles).
