About The Wine
Exciting wine here, from the hands of winemaker Wes Pearson.
This is Grenache from a vineyard in the Clarendon sub-region of McLaren Vale. A vineyard that was planted 90 years ago. With a deft handling of this old vine fruit, Wes strikes that elusive balance between finesse and power effortlessly.
If you like Grenache while it's rippling with primary fruit, there is plenty of joy to be had here already. However, if you are looking for something that will look all the better in a few years time, this will equally fit the bill.
Another wine to add to McLaren Vale's impressive list of excellent Grenache with a well deserved 96 points from Jane Faulkner.
About Dodgy Bros
What started as a small garage winemaking project for viticulturalist Peter Bolte, has grown into a full-time fun-filled winemaking gig.
With fruit secured from top growers with a handshake, Peter, along with Canadian winemaker Wes Pearson and 'grower extraordinaire' Peter Sommerville are now making tasty treats in a wide range of styles from excellent McLaren Vale sites.
The Dodgy Bros wines don't take themselves too seriously. These are adventurous and energetic wines with plenty of personality.
