The Young Gun of Wine Awards has been an important initiative on the Australian wine scene since its inception in 2007.
Over the intervening years, YGOW has highlighted some of the country's best rising talent - showcasing not just great young winemakers, but also in recent times, expanding to include with country's best "Wine Slingers" in the hospitality industry, and this year, some of the country's leading vineyards.
