This next-gen husband and wife team of Chad and Georgie (Gee) Connolly are Barossa locals who have set out to make approachable, juicy, minimum intervention wines, with Burgundy and Beaujolais their inspiration.

The focus is on early-picked fruit, bright acidities and no additions apart from small amounts of sulphur pre-bottling.

The winemaking is decidedly old-school, with all reds basket-pressed, aged in old oak, and all wines bottled under cork and wax by hand. But the wines themselves couldn't be more modern in style. Check out White Gate here...
