Ravensworth Estate Release is Finally Here, So Don’t Miss It!

After a two-year-long hiatus, we are extremely excited to offer you first retail access in the country to the Ravensworth Estate release of wines from 2021.

These are some of our most requested wines all year round. The stunning set of five wines we have for you today are right up there with the finest ever produced under this label. They always sell out far too quickly. This year will be no different.

The 2021 harvest marked 20 years of wine under the Ravensworth banner for Bryan Martin. From a fledgeling side label during his time as winemaker at Clonakilla in the early 2000s to the elite benchmark label it has become, it's been an incredible story to watch unfold over the last two decades.

It's been two long years since we've had the Martin family's home-grown wines on the shelf. The bushfires that surrounded their home in 2020 wiped out their full harvest due to smoke taint. In 2021, with his son Lewis by his side for his first full vintage in the family business, Bryan has turned out five wines of remarkable beauty.

It's near impossible to pick a standout in this line-up. As the notes and scores from Mike Bennie at The Wine Front bear out, this is a uniformly excellent set of wines (n.b. the Estate Riesling is yet to be reviewed).

The most popular wine, and indeed the one that put Ravensworth on the map, the Shiraz Viognier, is in peak form, receiving its equal-highest score ever on The Wine Front with 95 points.

As arguably Australia's premiere producer of Sangiovese, Bryan's Estate release is a masterclass in texture, elegance and varietal beauty. It's the lightest and perhaps most ethereal Ravensworth Sangiovese to date.

The Riesling is a scintillating expression of the variety. All high-tensile citrus and seaspray notes. It's electric and impossibly moreish this year. The extra year before release has done wonders for its harmony in the bottle.

And finally, the Seven Months skin contact 'orange' wine and The Grainery Rhone white blend are balanced, richly textured and deftly sculpted.
