"Juicy red fruit with a fresh finish of good length, a dash of savoury complexity as it goes. Lovely."
- Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

The Turkey Flat Rosé has been one of the front-runners of Australia's Rosé revolution over the last decade or so.

The fruit for this wine is grown and picked specifically for Rosé. It's crafted by Mark Bulman, a winemaker with a great love of Grenache and a thirst for the pale, dry Rosé wines made in the South of France.

It's light, pale, dry as a bone and an absolute steal in the context of serious Australian Rosé.

At this price, you can, and probably should, drink a bucket load, whatever the weather....

Turkey Flat has created a style crafted with clear purpose to shift perceptions, demonstrating that Australian Rose can be a fine wine and that Barossa is well-placed to be its source. Grenache is the star of the wine and is picked in multiple parcels across the vintage to provide components for a wine that is a masterclass in blending.

Our style has become archetypal of Australian Rosé, with fresh, aromatic fruit, florals and spice on the nose, satisfying body and texture on the palate, and a clean, savoury-shift on the finish.

95 points - "There are a number of wines I return to every year. They've never let me down, and we remain the best of friends. Turkey Flat rosé makes that list. Salmon pink with grenache at its core, it is just wonderful drinking; redcurrants and raspberry and wildflower top notes. Just a slink of texture too, filling out the palate before bright acidity tightens, bringing all back into line for a nervy, refreshing exit." - Dave Brookes (Halliday Wine Companion)

94 points - "Red fruit and tangerine, a little perfume and spice – maybe a subtle sort of a curry leaf or lemongrass thing happening. Soft but with nice grip and crunch to texture, a fine chalkiness, subdued but kind of juicy red fruit with a fresh finish of good length, a dash of savoury complexity as it goes. Lovely." - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

    Spectacular rose

One of Australia's very best Roses and truly a wine that should be taken seriously, not just as a lubricant for a ladies' long lunch (although it'll do the trick very nicely there too!) A great pairing with chicken or a seafood pasta dish. And, just as enjoyable on it's on. An absolute cracker of a wine!

    Pink perfection

Turkey Flat Rise has been around for quite some time. It has not lost its zest and easily pleases anyone who likes exceptional rose. Plenty of flavour with dry and crisp finish.

Turkey Flat

Shiraz was first planted in the 'Turkey Flat' area of the Barossa near Tanunda in 1847 (though there were no turkeys, just plain bustards). The Schulz family have tended vines here since the 1860s, and current custodian Christie Schulz is the fourth generation of the family to continue the tradition.

Their name has become a watchword for consistent quality, their reputation growing for the Rhone varietals Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre, while the Rose has been at the top of the tree for the past decade or so.

Under Christie, Turkey Flat continues to develop to an ecologically positive approach to their viticulture with practices such as applications of organic mulch under-vine, organic fertilisers mid-row and a strong emphasis on cover crop management have all become integral in their quest to restore soil health.

Ordering

We want Different Drop customers to always be getting the best price. If you see a lower price elsewhere, just get in touch and we will sort it out for you. We handle all our price-matching on a case by case basis.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • Retrospective price-matching is available for 30 days after you have purchased from us.
  • The price match cannot be used in conjunction with a coupon or one-off deal we are offering. The idea is for you to get the best price in the market so if that is already achieved through a coupon then we won't price match on top of that.
  • We don't price match clearance or fire sales.
  • We’ll match the listed price as long as it is a legitimate offer and the competing store is actually able to fulfil the order (they have stock or more stock is en route). Essentially we won't price match cheeky vendors listing wines they have no hope of actually getting for you...
  • It must be a publicly listed price. We won't match a price that has been achieved through a coupon/cash-back arrangement, or through a non-advertised offer over the phone or otherwise.
  • It is limited to a reasonable retail quantity.

We'll treat each price match request on its merit and reserve the right to refuse where we deem fit. For example, particularly rare wines, from non-trust-worthy vendors, in circumstances we deem illegitimate or if we feel our policy is being unfairly taken advantage of.

At the end of the day, we'll look after you and use common sense to ensure you're getting the best price, please just don't take the p%$$!

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.

If you want to bulk order gifts or if you have any trouble please email hello@differentdrop.com or call and we can try and help.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
