Powerhouse wines and the Barossa Valley, it’s put Australian wines on the global map. The combination of exceptional old-vine material, and a warm dry climate most years, produces rich fruit of depth and character.

The Anaperenna from Ben Glaetzer is a great example of this. From the Ebenezer sub-region of the Valley, this is a Shiraz dominant blend with some added Cabernet, off vines ranging in age from 30-130 years-old.

Fermented and aged in 100% new oak, this is a big, round and voluptuous wine. Layers of black fruits and spice on the nose. On the palate, more of the same with tight, yet approachable, young tannins. Powerful in an iconic style, its drinks well now, but truly, is made for the cellar.

A seamless fusion of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Voluptuous, opulent yet refined, with a very long and satisfying finish.

The colour is an almost glowing black with deep red hues. A heady bouquet of mulberries, blackcurrant, clove, aniseed and nutmeg intermingles with a fine white pepper nuance. A dense yet savoury palate with depth and boldness also exhibiting an elegant restraint.

95 Points - "84/16% shiraz/cabernet sauvignon from Ebenezer; 30-100yo shiraz; 30-130yo cabernet sauvignon. Matured 16 months in new (92% French and 8% American) oak hogsheads; unfiltered. Ben Glaetzer's superpower is upholding glossy brightness and freshness even in the wake of considerable ripeness, all the more impressive in warm drought seasons in the generous northern Barossa. Anaperenna is a showpiece for the modern great Australian blends, brimming in bountiful red and black fruits, backed generously with dark chocolate and coffee-bean new oak. It holds it proportions and considerable alcohol with astonishing confidence, thanks most of all to a bright flash of pure, fresh acidity." - James Halliday (Halliday Wine Companion)

95 Points - "The 2019 Anaperenna Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon is an 84-16 blend, all sourced from the northern end of the Barossa Valley. Bottled in October 2020 and scheduled to be released in October 2021, it features lovely lift and delicate herbal nuances on the nose, plus hints of red and black currants and blackberries. Full-bodied and supple, it's also crisp, long and velvety on the finish, picking up delicious nuances of vanilla, dark chocolate and bright, fresh fruit." - Joe Czerwinski (The Wine Advocate)

95 Points - "Oof, this one packs in a lot of detail and character. Slow moving, thickset, dense and ripe with a huge flourish of creamy, oozing, sweet spice-laden oak seasoning coupling to all the inky, dark berry and plummy fruit characters. Massive, warm, lavish and yet a lift of freshness in the mix too. Huge, done so very well. " - Mike Bennie (Wine Business Magazine)

We want Different Drop customers to always be getting the best price. If you see a lower price elsewhere, just get in touch and we will sort it out for you. We handle all our price-matching on a case by case basis.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • Retrospective price-matching is available for 30 days after you have purchased from us.
  • The price match cannot be used in conjunction with a coupon or one-off deal we are offering. The idea is for you to get the best price in the market so if that is already achieved through a coupon then we won't price match on top of that.
  • We don't price match clearance or fire sales.
  • We’ll match the listed price as long as it is a legitimate offer and the competing store is actually able to fulfil the order (they have stock or more stock is en route). Essentially we won't price match cheeky vendors listing wines they have no hope of actually getting for you...
  • It must be a publicly listed price. We won't match a price that has been achieved through a coupon/cash-back arrangement, or through a non-advertised offer over the phone or otherwise.
  • It is limited to a reasonable retail quantity.

We'll treat each price match request on its merit and reserve the right to refuse where we deem fit. For example, particularly rare wines, from non-trust-worthy vendors, in circumstances we deem illegitimate or if we feel our policy is being unfairly taken advantage of.

At the end of the day, we'll look after you and use common sense to ensure you're getting the best price, please just don't take the p%$$!

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.

If you want to bulk order gifts or if you have any trouble please email hello@differentdrop.com or call and we can try and help.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
