About The Wine
The HJ Reseve Shiraz is the pride and joy of the Oliver's Taranga team.
The wines that come from this small patch of McLaren Vale are as rich as the family history - the vines in this vineyard were planted by the wines namesake, HJ Oliver, in 1948.
Shiraz is what Oliver's Taranga does best, and this wine is no exception. It is a classic full-bodied Shiraz with rich chocolatey fruit and smooth, silky tannins.
This is the quintessential McLaren Vale Shiraz and great value to boot.
About Oliver's Taranga
Five generations of the Oliver family have been farming land in McLaren Vale dating back to the 1840s.
There are now 100 hectares of land under vine on the Taranaga property - Taranga is a corruption of the aboriginal word Tarangk, meaning ‘the middle' which was used by the Kaurna, a local aboriginal tribe.
Under the trailblazing guidance of winemaker Corrina Wright, there are now near 50 blocks of different varieties and clones. A McLaren Vale melting pot!
