An attractive ready-drinking wine with an extra degree of character.
Huon Hooke (The Real Review)
About the Wine
Made from parcels of fruit from the Faultline and Farrago blocks of the Kooyong vineyard, this Estate Chardonnay gives a delightfully delicious expression of the Mornington Peninsula region.
It's a powerful and energetic wine, with an effortless beauty about it. It's a wine full of character and personality.
You could choose to drink it now or pop it in the cellar for a little bit if you're willing to wait for your reward.
About Kooyong Estate
Kooyong is one of the Mornington Peninsula's most iconic wineries, a specialist in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, while also making some cracking Pinot Gris.
Their 40 hectare home is in Tuerong, in the north of the region, and consists of five distinct vineyard blocks from which limited quantities of Single Block wines are made when vintage conditions allow.
Their 'entry level' wines, the Clonale Chardonnay and Massale Pinot Noir, offer extremely good value for money and a great snapshot of regional style.
