About the Wine
From the romantic city of Santorini comes this stellar example of Assyrtiko.
Crafted from parcels of fruit from Argyros Estates ancient vines, it offers depth, concentration, definition and elegance. It's a wine that expresses the uniqueness of the volcanic soils of Santorini like no other; sharp acidity, high minerality, fresh and bold.
It's built to last, too, with long-term cellaring potential. If you want a taste of Santorini without leaving the comfort of your own home, one sip of this will transport you right there.
About Argyros Estate
Established in 1903 Estate Argyros is the largest private owner of vineyards in Santorini, with over 120 ha of vineyards, the representation of investment over 4 generations of the Argyros family.
Its was only in the 1970s however, that the estate began to gain attention outside of Greece.
It was Yiannis Argyros who worked tirelessly for more than three decades to prove that his Vin-Santos are some of the finest, rarest, sweet wines in the world. Moreover, Yiannis was instrumental in pushing the idea that Assyritko can produce exceptional still dry wines as well.
Now run by the 4th generation of the family, Matthaios, they farm their vineyards in a sustainable manner, as well as utilising mainly indigenous yeasts for their fermentations.
