A mouthwatering and superbly appetising wine. Impressive.

About The Wine
Vintage Blanc de Blanc was the first wine to be made under the DAOSA label, it is the keystone of the project and the wine on which Lucy and Xavier hang their hat.
The chardonnay fruit is all from their Piccadilly Valley vineyard and the winemaking follows a lengthy and detailed path that results in over 4 years on lees, a serious commitment to quality by anyone's standards.
The wine has a rich core of classic Chardonnay fruit with stone fruit and citrussy lift. There is great complexity and some deliciously toasty notes of brioche and grilled nuts.
Sometimes expectation can be the undoing of a wine. Not here, this repeatedly exceeds our unreasonably high expectations. It is superb.
About Daosa
Is there no end to the talents of Lucy Croser and Xavier Bizot?
DAOSA is the Sparkling wine arm of the indefatigable couples' Terre a Terre label.
It all began in the mid-nineties when Petaluma planted a Piccadilly Valley vineyard to Chardonnay intended for sparkling wine production under the DAOSA label. The first wine they released was the 2009 Blanc de Blancs and they have been releasing stunner after stunner since, including, since 2016, a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend.
Not surprisingly, given their background, the pair have set a new bar for Australian sparkling.
Fun fact. DAOSA translates to 'Pour over' in Chinese. Definitely wines to pour over, and over, again.
