About the Wine
Full-bore red fruit aromatics of raspberry and cherry, backing into a spicy, meaty, dry rub of a palate.
Sourced from the slopes of the volcanic Mont Brouilly, with vines close to 70 years old, this is a modern meets traditional Beaujolais, with ripe Gamay fruit displaying old vine meaty power.
About Domaine Jacky Piret
A multi-generational family-owned operation located in Belleville-sur-Soane, near Beaujolais' epicentre, the wines of Frédérique & Jacky Piret are as traditional as you will find.
These wines harken back to the original styles of Beaujolais produced in the region. Their vines, across their 12 hectares of vineyards, including 5 crus, are all farmed with a sensitive sustainable approach. The fruit is fermented with the traditional carbonic maceration technique then aged in old barrels for a short time before being bottled whilst the juice is bright and fresh.
