COVID - 19 Delivery Delays
Australia Post have experienced a very large spike in deliveries of heavy and fragile items such as wine, home exercise equipment and larger electronics (computer monitors etc). All these items require a specific type of manual processing so it causing delays with orders not moving quickly through the sorting process.
Australia Post are working on fixing the problem but in the short term unfortunately things are taking a bit longer than usual.
Dispatch Time - How Long Before We Send It
On each item in the store we advise an expected dispatch date. If we have advised "DISPATCHED NEXT BUSINESS DAY" then that means we have stock immediately available in our Sydney warehouse and we will dispatch your order by the next business day. We will dispatch it the same day if we get the order before 11am.
Alternatively, if the product is displaying something like "SHIPS IN 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS" then that means we're waiting on more stock from our supplier and we should be able to dispatch soon but not immediately. It could also mean you have more bottles in your cart than we currently have on hand. For example, if you have 12 bottles in your cart but we currently only have 7 bottles in stock it will also advise "SHIPS IN 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS".
Delivery Time - How Long It Takes To Arrive
We will send your order with Australia Post's wine delivery service. We are dispatching from Sydney so estimated delivery times are as follows.
New South Wales
Sydney metro - up to 2 days
NSW country - up to 3 days
Melbourne metro - up to 3 days
VIC country - up to 4 days
Adelaide metro - 3-4 days
SA country - 3-5 days
Tasmania metro - 3-5 days
TAS remote* - 12-16 days
Australian Capital Territory
Canberra metro - up to 2 days
Brisbane metro - 2-4 days
QLD near country - 3-5 days
QLD far country - 3-6 days
Far north QLD* - 5-13 days
Perth metro - 4-5 days
WA country - 5-8 days
WA far country - 7-9 days
Darwin metro - 4-6 days
Alice Springs - 3-6 days
NT remote* - 13-14 days
*Deliveries to some islands off Tasmania, North Queensland and Northern Territory can take between 9-26 days.
