Jordy Kay is a ball of energy and a lovely bloke, to boot.
His Chevre project is an honest and simple one, in his words, “My goal was to produce wines that weren’t ruined by mans influence. I grew the grapes organically by myself and made wines without adding anything except for a wee bit of sulphur.”
He is not riding the ‘natural wine’ band wagon, he is just doing what he thinks is best. He leased his own vineyard so he could have complete control from beginning to end. The wines are smashing.
