About The Pack

Yarra Yering is one of the most iconic wineries of the modern Yarra Valley.

Founded in 1969 by the visionary vigneron Dr. Bailey Carrodus, Yarra Yering has become a benchmark in quality and one of the most collected wineries in the country.

Today, the wines are crafted by the talented Sarah Crowe. She brings the wines to bottle with the same passion and attention to detail that made the great Yarra Yering wines of old so revered.

The new releases from this iconic Yarra Valley estate look incredible. The 2017 release of Dry Red No.1, Dry Red No.2, Underhill Shiraz, Agincourt and Pinot Noir all received huge reviews from James Halliday and we've got the lot.

Secure your allocation of these highly collectable wines while you can...

2017 Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1

The Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1 is comprised of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with small parcels of Malbec and Petit Verdot from one of the great sites of the Yarra Valley.

The individual parcels are fermented in small open-top tea-chest fermenters, the final blend crafted to showcase each individual season on this iconic Yarra Valley estate.

This is a glorious wine, a benchmark of the famous Yarra Valley Cabernet wine style.

It's a wine destined for great things. The 2017 is an excellent vintage for more robust red wines. Winemaker Sarah Crowe knocked this out of the park. It should be an essential part of any serious Australian cellar.

98 points - James Halliday

2017 Yarra Yering Dry Red No.2

The Dry Red No. 2 from the great Yarra Yering vineyard is a unique look at Yarra Valley Shiraz.

Yarra Yering founder, Dr. Bailey Carrodous,  was inspired by the great blends of the Rhone Valley when he first conceived this wine.

It's predominantly Shiraz with Mataro, Viognier & Marsanne blended in for enhanced complexity.

It's a vibrant yet eminently cellar-worthy style of Shiraz and one of the most collected in the country.

The balance of the 2017 is impeccable. It received 99 points from James Halliday and will mature majestically for decades to come.

2017 Yarra Yering Agincourt Cabernet Malbec

The Agincourt is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grown on the Gruyere estate.

It's medium-bodied and impeccably balanced. A classic Yarra Valley 'Claret', with dark fruit and a hint of leaf.

It is comprised of 3/4 Cabernet Sauvignon and 1/4 Malbec and will cellar beutifully for up to a decade.

This is the most approachable of Sarah Crowe's excellent 2017 reds. It's the Yarra Yering you can drink now and enjoy while you wait for Dry Red No. 1 & No. 2 to mature.

2017 Yarra Yering Underhill Shiraz

The Underhill Shiraz comes from 8 acres of vines on the far Western side of the famous Yarra Yerring vineyard in Gruyere.

Planted by Dr. Carrodus in 1973, the wines from this site tend to show better in their youth than the brooding powerhouse that is the Dry Red No. 2.

Underhill is approachable from day one, however a few years in the cellar wouldn't hurt it either.

The 2017 is a fantastic release from Sarah Crowe, as evidenced by the superb 97 point review from James Halliday.

If you love Shiraz/Syrah from the Yarra Valley, this wine would make an excellent addition to your cellar.

2017 Yarra Yering Pinot Noir

The Pinot Noir vines that form the base of this wine are some of the most important in the modern Yarra Valley.

The oldest vines were planted by Dr. Bailey Carrodous in 1969 and are some of the earliest planted in the Yarra Valley of the modern era. Given the Yarra Valley's towering reputation for Pinot Noir these days, the importance of this site can't be overstated.

It's a bolder, more concentrated version of Yarra Valley Pinot Noir than many on the market today. The structure and awe-inspiring depth of fruit make it a perfect option for the cellar.

The 2017 vintage is a top release of this iconic and highy-collectable wine.
