The 'The Standish' Shiraz is made from fruit farmed by the Laycock family in the Greenock sub-region of the Barossa Valley. Dan has worked closely with this great vineyard since 2005, with previous releases of Standish 'Andelmonde’ and ‘Borne Bollene’ coming from this site.

2021 Agricola Ebenezer Shiraz
"It’s quite something – sumptuous and come hither by nature. Lusher style, nailed."
Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)
Sourced solely from the Hoffmann’s vineyards in Ebenezer, Callum Powell isn’t joking around with his fruit sources for his young Agricola label. The Hoffman family have been farming their land since the 1850’s, and their fruit is some of the most prized in the Barossa, supplying a bevy of cult producers in the region.
This wine has classic regional character; powerful, dense and full of intensity, yet showcases a lighter, lower alcohol side of the Barossa, and still, with a powerful tannic structure.
With a fine acid-line, brightness and energy, alongside classic Ebenezer boldness and black fruit, this is a gun Shiraz for the modern consumer.Read more about 2021 Agricola Ebenezer Shiraz
2020 Tonic Wines Reserve Shiraz
There is a lot to be excited about here. Maybe it's the way it pours like Indian ink, with depth and concentration. Maybe it's the immediate explosion of perfume and flavour. Either way, this wine just gets your mouth watering.
Unlike a lot of Barossa Valley reds, there is a great deal of finesse and restraint here. It still has all those deep, dark flavours, but everything is perfectly balanced. Deeply perfumed, with purple fruits and dried flowers, and dark berries straight to the core. The shocking thing is just how approachable this is. It'll be gone before you know it.Read more about 2020 Tonic Wines Reserve Shiraz
2020 Eperosa Stonegarden 1858 Grenache
Stonegarden is one of the most famous vineyards just outside of Springton in the Eden Valley.
These old, legendary vines produce some of the most earth-shatteringly powerful fruit in the whole region. Brett Grocke has tended these vines for many years, when he picks the fruit, he knows it intimately.
This is an imperious wine. Bold, polished, unabashed an imminently cellar-worthy. It's Grenache from one of the country's great viticultural resources and it's treated with due respect by the winemaker.
The perfect option for lovers of serious, premium South Australian Grenache.Read more about 2020 Eperosa Stonegarden 1858 Grenache
NV Sami-Odi Little Wine #11
"It’s beautiful, highly perfumed and hearty at once."
Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)
The Sami-Odi 'Little Wine' has developed quite the cult following over the years.
It's a unique wine, being comprised of fruit from multiple vintages, with the older vintage portions adding depth and weight, the younger contributing lift and fruit vibrancy. Some parcels are picked early for acidity and drive, some picked much later providing that definitive Barossa richness.
It's an intricately constructed wine, winemaker Fraser McKinley blending multiple barrels to find just the right amount of light and shade.
The finished wine shows so much perfume, so much flavour and so much life - it's a beauty and a completely unique look at the Barossa Valley. The 'Little Wine' has become one of those innovative Australian wines you just need in your cellar.Read more about NV Sami-Odi Little Wine #11
2019 Thistledown Where Eagles Dare Shiraz
"An excellent expression of Barossa Shiraz."
Gary Walsh (Wine Front)
Handpicked from the Mengler’s Hill vineyard in the Barossa, this wine is what the Barossa is all about.
This wine tells a story like a great narrator, tightly coiled, vital, and quite intense. Every component balanced and in its correct place, the tone lifts and falls, while the flavours and aromas builds and lead through to a lengthy finish.
Somewhat of a muscle flex here, bold, powerful, and truly emblematic of the connotations we imagine when we think about Barossa Shiraz.Read more about 2019 Thistledown Where Eagles Dare Shiraz
