2020 Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Pinot Noir
The TMV Pinot Noir is meant for earlier consumption than the more premium Dog and Wolf Pinot Noir by Ricky Evans.
It's a glimpse at the vintage for the Tamar Valley sub-region. But make no mistake, this is not your average 'entry level' Pinot Noir, this has an edge to it, a personality all of its own.
The 2020 release of the Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Pinot Noir is a ripper. Ricky says it's his best yet, albeit in a lighter, more athletic frame than is typical of this cuveé.
It's a cracking wine with immaculate fruit and a savoury backbone - a great representation of the quality being produced by a new wave of Tasmanian winemaking rock-stars.
Stocks are limited on this release, don't hesitate.Read more about 2020 Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Pinot Noir
2020 Bondar Junto GSM
In only a few short vintages this dynamic couple have carved out a niche for their eponymous label as one of the most exciting and in demand wineries in McLaren Vale.
Drinkability is writ large across the range. The 'Junto' (Spanish for 'together') is a wine made for easily enjoying with friends and family.
The Grenache component is the star, with a quite dominant 88% of the blend with Shiraz, Mataro, Counoise and Carignan in the supporting cast.
This is as delicious as medium-bodied reds get from this part of the world. Incredibly versatile and impossibly moreish, Andre and Selina have done it again.Read more about 2020 Bondar Junto GSM
2020 Mada Syrah Nouveau
The modern Australian Shiraz/Syrah is a much different beast to that of twenty years ago. Thank the wine gods for the evolution of style, it's allowed for great wines like this to come into existence.
Hamish's usual NSW fruit sources were impossible in the bushfire-devastated 2020 vintage so this bouncy red is sourced from the Tuerong sub-region of Mornington Peninsula via good friend Barney Flanders at Garagiste wines.
It's hand picked, with 100% carbonic maceration, and a short spell in both concrete and oak. Soft, spicy and with a satiny palate caress, just a lovely high-toned, low-priced wine for drinking over the next couple of years.Read more about 2020 Mada Syrah Nouveau
