About This Wine
A multi-vintage NV blend, the Grand Reserve from Vilmart is a Pinot Noir dominant blend, exclusively grown in their organic 1er cru vineyards around Montagne de Reims.
This Champagne displays a surprising degree of brioche goodness in the nose, joined by smoky and chalky nuances that emerge on the silky, finely bubbled palate.
Such a great value introduction to the wines of one of Champagne's finest houses.
About Vilmart & Cie
Vilmart et Cie was founded in 1890 by Desire Vilmart in the heart of the village of Rilly-la-Montagne, at the foot of the Montagne de Reims.
Now run by the 5th-generation of the Vilmart lineage ,Laurent Champs, this family estate is one of the most interesting and consistent Grower Champagne producers in the region.
Organic farming, barrel-ageing, and the lack of malolactic fermentation, are all hallmarks of their house style.
All wines are aged in bottle for a minimum of 3 years for NV wines, and 5 years for vintage releases before disgorgement.
