It’s a brilliant, emphatic and distinct wine.

About The Wine
This is arguably Fabrice Pouillon's finest wine and definitely his rarest.
In 1997 a solera was established for a single plot in Premier Cru Mareuil sur Aÿ. Every year 10% new juice is added to this single 4000L barrel and 10% is siphoned off to bottle. An equal split between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this wine gives you the clearest picture of terroir as told over decades.
It's powerful and incredibly complex, a rare beauty. Only 30 bottles made it to Australia this year.
About Champagne R. Pouillon
Champagne R. Pouillon was founded by Roger Pouillon in 1947.
Today, the Domaine is managed by Roger's grandson, Fabrice, who continues to hand-craft each cuveé using traditional methods. Each grape is picked by hand, the wines all pressed in an ancient wooden basket press, every one of his 40 parcels is vinified separately - it's a time-honoured, hands-on approach that is producing superlative wines.
Fabrice farms some of the finest terroirs in Champagne, including Ay Grand Cru, Mareuil-sur-Ay, Mutigny, Epernay. He began conversion to organic farming in 2003. Since then, the wines have garnered plenty of acclaim for their complexity, purity, and translation of terroir.
R. Pouillon is one of the most outstanding producers in Champagne today.
