About The Wine
The NV Champagne Diebolt-Vallois Blanc de Blancs Prestige Grand Cru is a rich and ripe wine and one of their best cuvees.
Sourced from the villages of Cramant, Chouilly and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (all grand crus), the soil here is chalky which gives a great minerality to champagnes, setting them apart from many other sparkling wines. It has pure and ripe aromas of apple, citrus and pastry, and with only a low amount of dosage, it is completely dry. Despite the ripeness of the fruit, the acidity is bracing, giving the wine energy.
Finally, the creaminess of the wine from malolactic fermentation adds a delightful mouthfeel and flavour to the wine, making it a delightful champagne.
About Champagne Diebolt-Vallois
The Diebolt and Vallois families have been farming in the Champagne region since the 19th and 15th centuries respectively. The estate is run by Jacques Diebolt and Nadia Vallois, who are now joined in the business by their children Arnaud and Isabelle. In 1978 the family began constructing a cellar and then a winery.
Champagne Diebolt-Vallois produces six distinct champagnes: Tradition, a Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier blend; Rose, from the three grapes; Blanc de Blancs from Chardonnay; Vintage blanc de blancs; Prestige blanc de blancs; and their "jewel", Fleur de Passion, a superb blanc de blancs from grand cru vineyards.
