Planted in 1998 to the refined P58 clone, the site sits on a unique mix of loams and fragmented granite, which always seems to imbue the wine with a signature yellow stone fruit ripeness and a glassy texture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWinemaker Ben Mullen handles this fruit with a light touch to ensure that its natural sunshine doesn't tip into heaviness. The juice was pressed whole-bunch with full solids into a mix of French and Austrian oak. To hit the sweet spot between richness and zip, about 30% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation.
