About The Pack

We have five seafood-friendly whites and a cracking Rose, all sourced from across the Loire, and highlighting their most famous grapes and appellations - Muscadet, Sancerre, Anjou, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc....
They are all thrillers, no fillers!
2020 Clos du Tue-Boeuf Vin Blanc
100% Sauvignon Blanc, the "Vin Blanc" is the starting point for Tue-Boeuf's whites. As with the other Vin wines (Rose, and Rouge) this wine is sourced from the organically farmed vineyards belonging to friends of the Puzelat family.
This is Loire Sauvignon that will make you purr with delight, it's chalky and mineral, and not overtly flamboyant. The nose is fruity with citrus and cut pineapple, alongside hints of aniseed. On the palate it is taut and exudes lemony aromas with a long, pleasing finish.
Wow, this is fresh, tightly wound and compact with lovely zip and directness. So drinkable, it’s refreshing, and satisfying, and a wine to remind us that Sauvignon blanc is so much more than the monostylistic wines that have over-saturated the Aussie market over the past few decades.

Muscadet is amazing; if you know, you know. If you're not quite around it yet then you really should get your mitts on a bottle of it. It's hard to imagine a better wine pairing for oysters and raw seafood, which sounds like a perfect Aussie picnic to us.
This wonderful appellation on the Western side of the Loire region is home to these thrillingly pure and racy wines. And Loire being the hotbed of natural wine that it is, occasionally we are lucky enough to find some real gems from tiny producers, such as Domaine de la Tourlaudiere. The Bohale is naturally fermented and then rested on lees for several months resulting in a stunning wine. Fresh as you like, green apple and lemon sherbet, trademark mineral zoom and a lovely creaminess from time on lees. If you know, you know.

Old vine Sauvignon Blanc from Cheverny near the banks of the might Loire. With honeydew melon and tangy citrus flavours, this a riper Sauvignon than the region normally produces, making it super-attractive at first sniff.
There is no oak involved but plenty of lees-stirring and time in bottle pre-release, so there is also texture and length.
A superb all-round people pleaser.

The village of Saint Cyr en Bourg is in the Loire Valley’s Saumur region, it neighbours the more famous village of Breze, and is home to twenty hectares of Arnaud Lambert’s vines. This compelling Chenin Blanc is a blend of parcels across the village and a thumbnail sketch of all you can expect from this producer.
Precision, purity, and nerve but never at the expense of fruit weight and texture. Age worthy certainly but by no means impenetrable in their youth, in fact this is positively singing.
Expect citrus and beeswax with earthy undertones and a long salty close.

A radical and a lauded spokesperson for his small pocket in the Loire Valley, the fabulous wines of Thierry Germain have turned a spotlight on Saumur-Champigny.
A producer with a commitment or biodynamic farming and the Midas touch in the cellar, Thierry has elevated the status of his region through consistently releasing sublime quasi-Burgundian Cabernet Francs and elegant, finessed Chenin Blancs which are magnetic in their energy and charisma.
This is a lithe, flinty version of Chenin Blanc, with crisp acidity and lovely racy extension of flavour.
It's made to be drunk now and drunk with abandon. It's great with seafood or a fresh salad with a zesty dressing

Francois Chidaine is a master of Chenin Blanc in the famous appellations of Montlouis and Vouvray but has applied his magic touch to a great value Rose from the greater Touraine region, that is at once succulent and textured.
Wild-fermented, which is rare for Rose, this combines a deep colour, a hearty, fleshy palate and funky feel that makes for a fascinating lo-fi wine.
