2018 Head Red Shiraz
The Head Red Shiraz is considered the trailer or preview to each vintage of the Head premium single vineyard Shiraz.
This is made from the barrels that barely missed the cut on the SV Shiraz; The Blonde; The Brunette and The Contrarian. Made with all the love and care that go into his top-flight releases, Alex Head releases this as a younger wine as something to enjoy whilst waiting for his premium releases to mature.
As Gary Walsh noted in his 93 point review, this is a, "Super vintage." For easy-drinking but serious Barossa Shiraz, it's hard to go past this release.Read more about 2018 Head Red Shiraz
2018 Head Red GSM
Made by the formidable Alex Head from a barrel declssification of some of his best wines, the Grenache fruit comes from an assortment of vineyards planted in the Barossa as far back as 160 years ago.
The varieties are all fermented separately, Alex looking for greater definition in each portion of the wine before blending the final product.
In this compact, delightful little wine you reap the benefits of decades worth of viticulture and a mastercraftsman winemaker. For the price, there are few wines in the Barossa that can hold a candle to this little number.
A brilliant value and very versitile modern Australian Red wine.Read more about 2018 Head Red GSM

This is one of those perfect 'BBQ reds' that's built for easy drinking.
It's a wine that winemaker Alex Head wants to change people's ideas about what the Barossa is all about. This takes the lusciousness of the Barossa and meshes it to the ripe, spicy characters of the Italian variety, Montepulciano, making a moreish, modern Australian red ready for the guzzling.
It's bright, loves a slight chill in the fridge and is a delicious little bargain for any night of the week.Read more about 2018 Head Montepulciano
