About The Pack
Don't let anyone tell you that you can't put red wine in the fridge. These six wines were built with exactly that in mind!
Here is a little tasting pack of some bright, warm weather red wines that just love a chill. Pop them in the fridge. Pop the top. Then pop them in your tumbler.
These are reds are made for drinking in the Aussie sun!
2022 Gentle Folk Vin de Sofa
Gareth Belton is on the cutting edge of the natural winemaking movement. From the soil to the glass, every effort is taken by him and his wife Rainbo to preserve the natural vitality of his organically grown fruit.
Here there's no additives, no fining. This is as un-doctored wine gets and it's a great thing to drink.
The Vin de Sofa is a pun on the French wine term Vin de Soif -"Soif means thirsty, sofa means chill". A wine of refreshment to drink anytime (sofa not necessary).
It's made from mainly Gamay, with supporting roles played by Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Syrah, Merlot, Grenache & Mataro. Take Gareth's advice and pop this in the fridge for half an hour before drinking, it really comes to life with a chill. This fun, creative wine is best enjoyed with friends.

This is a cracking light red (or dark rose, if you wish) for guzzling around the table in good company.
Made from a blend of Italian, French and Spanish varieties - Sangiovese, Graciano, Vermentino, Cabernet and Tempranillo - that all come together as a highly quaffable, easy-going red built for anywhere, anytime.
Lively, crunchy, herbal and lightly spicy, filled with red berries, it's a great wine to pop in the fridge or esky for extra refreshment.
2022 Unico Zelo Jungle Jungle Dolcetto
The Jungle Jungle (formerly Cherry Fields) has become one of the most popular wines in the Unico Zelo range over the last couple of vintages, and it's in top form again.
It comes from the Polish Hill River sub-region of the Clare Valley, a place Brendan and Laura Carter love sourcing fruit from. When you think Dolcetto you think sweet, fruity reds, but this is anything but.
There's also now some supporting Touriga Nacional from Langhorne Creek, and a touch of Adelaide Hills Nero d'Avola.
Wildly aromatic, vibrantly juicy and surprisingly structural, this is a lot of wine built into not a lot of body. The Carters recommend this wine for "eating with your hands", and 20 minutes in the fridge would do it no harm at all. It's different, yes, but most of all it's just one of those reds that is near impossible to put down.

James Hamilton at Golden Child, always plugged into the zeitgeist, had heard that they grew good Grenache in McLaren Vale. So he took the unknown road to seek out some G'nache from Blewitt Springs.
And he's made a belter of light and juicy, drink-now-or-forever-hold-your-thirst red, that bursts with red fruit perfume.
Early picked fruit, lots of whole bunch, some carbonic maceration. It's lacy, fine and pure with excellent acidity, and insane drinkability.

This joyous wine is sourced from two Nebbiolo vineyards in the Colbinabbin subregion of Heathcote, known for its iron rich soils.
Pat Underwood works cleverly in the winery treating the two parcels separately then combining them with a touch of magic to create an expression of the grape that is as unique as it is great value.
Raspberry, cherry, bitter orange, amaro, herbs, musk stick, this wine is full of surprises. Imagine oh so serious Nebbiolo cutting loose in Lanzarote... it's wild, energetic, and more fun than you ever knew possible!

Absolutey fresh A.F.
Only 10% whole bunches, but that is enough to bring a hypnotic and spicy fragrance to the wine. It's one of those Pinots you could simply smell all day - bright red berries, green stems, clay and white pepper all come through.
The palate is juicy, bright and refreshing. It has a high acid count, making this a dangerously drinkable bottle of wine. Give it a chill and a serve in big splashy glasses. Delicious and friendly, which is what wine should be.
