This is the last year of North, East, South Pinot Noirs before I switch to Chardonnays for 2019.

About The Pack
This is a limited tasting pack of the three 2018 sub-regional Pinot Noirs made by Tasmanian craftsman, Peter Dredge.
Each of the wines are made in the same way from the same clone of Pinot Noir. In 2018 they are all made from the lighter, more ethereal 777 clone. Dredge's aim is to express the individual characteristics of the different sub-regions of Tasmania - allowing vineyard and terroir rather than winemaking to do the talking.
There were only 50 dozen of each wine made. They are in hot demand.
These wines are only available in this pack. To understand what Dredge is doing here, you need to try them all.
2018 Dr. Edge North Pinot Noir
The North is the meaty, reductive tip of the Dr. Edge spear.
It comes from the silty, gravelly soils of Joe Holyman's vineyard in the Tamar Valley. It's light in body, yet muscular in frame.
North brings sex appeal with sophistication.
It's a thrilling wine with undeniable 'X-factor'.Read more about 2018 Dr. Edge North Pinot Noir
2018 Dr. Edge East Pinot Noir
East is most notable for its exceptional tannin structure.
The volcanic soils on 'Hazards Vineyard' on the East cost showing through in the mineral-charged, gravelly tannin which sets the base for this beautifully floral wine.
This is a tighter, more structure Pinot Noir with a glorious texture. The firey redhead of the Dr. Edge lineup.Read more about 2018 Dr. Edge East Pinot Noir
2018 Dr. Edge South Pinot Noir
South comes from the Meadowbank vineyard in the Derwent Valley.
The sandy soils here make for a beautifully bright style of Pinot Noir. It's almost nymph-like in it's dazzling floral bouquet.
A twist of almost orange peel and a fine powder-spray of tannin.
It's a silky, feminine Pinot Noir in the sub-regional Dr. Edge series.Read more about 2018 Dr. Edge South Pinot Noir
