Description

Six of our closest partner wineries and six of our favourite artisan wines! This is a top-notch six pack which gives you a perfect snapshot of what we do here at DD.

These are the kind of wines that we drink every day. They are made by some of our closest partner wineries, producers who we believe are at the head of the pack at the moment.

It's brilliant value. Test drive the DD experience with one of these bad boys!

2021 Rieslingfreak No. 11 Mosaik Eden Valley Riesling

John Hughes is all about showcasing his love for Riesling, and he's passionate about showing off the diversity of the variety. This wine, his No. 11 Mosaik Riesling, is absolutely a wine to behold.

John got a little bit creative and wild with this expression - taking fruit from the Eden Valley, then ageing the wine in seasoned French oak for about a year. The result is magnificent - expect the typical Eden Valley Riesling flavours, like delicate florals, a lip smacking line of acidity, zesty citrus and finishing refreshingly crisp and racy. But the time spent in oak has given it an extra layer of complexity and the addition of a beautiful, mouth-filling, silky texture.

Overdelivering in the value for money department, this is an outrageously delicious and complex wine. Riesling lovers, you can't miss this. Learn More

2021 Unico Zelo River Sand Fiano

The Riverland region has become a hotbed for some of the country's most delicious (and certainly best value) Fianos, a reputation further amplified by this delicious texture-bomb from Unico Zelo young guns Brendan and Laura Carter.

Coming from a warmer climate and growing in iron-rich sand on limestone, Brendan and Laura's 'River Sands' version of this variety is all about texture, richness and upfront drinkability.

As they say themselves, this is their "daily-drinking Fiano"! A great representation of the Riverland region and one of the most delicious Fianos we've encountered.

2022 Garagiste Tuerong Aligote

There is very little Aligote growing in Australia at present. Trust Barney Flanders to sniff some out.

Given Barney's love of Burgundian varieties, this grape slips nicely into the Garagiste line up.

It's a very impressive rendition of the variety - where Aligote is often maligned in Burgundy and considered a bridesmaid to Chardonnay, Barney treats it with the utmost respect.

There's a distinct 'old world' vibe with this wine. Yes, it's fresh and focused and drives brilliantly through the mouth (as all Garagiste wines do), but there's something else here that takes you to another place from your first sniff.

2022 Worlds Apart Blue Eyes Gamay

Gamay is a grape growing in popularity in Australia, and those who work with it tend to love what it can offer.

The Adelaide Hills have become a popular region for growing the grape, and the Worlds Apart Blue Eyes Gamay is a demonstration of what can be achieved.

While it's quite a savoury wine, there is some lovely primary, red fruits on show and some acid zing to keep things lively. With lovely balance between all the different components, this is a Gamay that is sure to please.

2022 Ravensworth Tinto

If you love your reds bright, fresh and gluggable then you'll adore this. The Ravensworth Tinto is a blend of Grenache, Tempranillo, Graciano, all the varieties bearing their Spanish names on the label.

The fruit was picked with acidity at front of mind, wild-fermented as whole berries, left on skins for a while and then pressed into old, neutral barriques. The wine is about freshness and balance, easy drinking with some structure and interest and Martin nails the brief. It's a great example of a Grenache blend outside of South Australia.

It's a joyous red wine and another massive win for Bryan Martin and Ravensworth.

2020 Michael Hall Sang de Pigeon Shiraz

The name Sang de Pigeon is drawn from winemaker Michael Hall's time as a jewellery valuer. Meaning "Blood of the Pigeon", this title was given to only the reddest of rubies in the trade.

Here, Michael uses it to describe the fine fruit selected for this lovely Shiraz. The fruit is sourced from a combination of four different vineyards from Stone Well, Greenock and Krondorf.

It's made with Michael's signature deft touch resulting in a classy and great value version of Shiraz from this famous region.

    Worth the Experience

The Tonic Grenache is my go to wine from this pack but the Two Tonne Pinot Noir blew me away. We went to a BBQ and brought this bottle out first up to try and we wish we had more to follow.

With a juicy steak off the barbie and refreshing salad relaxing in the afternoon sun with a cool breeze coming off the river, it was an experience to remember.

    Great wine!

Discovered some great wines in this selection

Excellent range with difference but overall all quality drops, unlike some packs there were no “fillers” - ie wines that you wish you hadn’t opened that can’t be sold on their own merits - and a few outstanding ones that I will order more of.

Ordering

We want Different Drop customers to always be getting the best price. If you see a lower price elsewhere, just get in touch and we will sort it out for you. We handle all our price-matching on a case by case basis.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • Retrospective price-matching is available for 30 days after you have purchased from us.
  • The price match cannot be used in conjunction with a coupon or one-off deal we are offering. The idea is for you to get the best price in the market so if that is already achieved through a coupon then we won't price match on top of that.
  • We don't price match clearance or fire sales.
  • We’ll match the listed price as long as it is a legitimate offer and the competing store is actually able to fulfil the order (they have stock or more stock is en route). Essentially we won't price match cheeky vendors listing wines they have no hope of actually getting for you...
  • It must be a publicly listed price. We won't match a price that has been achieved through a coupon/cash-back arrangement, or through a non-advertised offer over the phone or otherwise.
  • It is limited to a reasonable retail quantity.

We'll treat each price match request on its merit and reserve the right to refuse where we deem fit. For example, particularly rare wines, from non-trust-worthy vendors, in circumstances we deem illegitimate or if we feel our policy is being unfairly taken advantage of.

At the end of the day, we'll look after you and use common sense to ensure you're getting the best price, please just don't take the p%$$!

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.

If you want to bulk order gifts or if you have any trouble please email hello@differentdrop.com or call and we can try and help.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
