2019 Domaine Naturaliste Floris Chardonnay
After 20 years observing the area, Bruce Dukes decided all the Chardonnays from Domaine Naturaliste would be crafted entirely from the Gin Gin clone.
This is his best value, early drinking Chardonnay. A wine that seriously over delivers in the bang-for-your-buck stakes, it's built in a more fruit-forward style - ripe, but not too ripe, and balanced perfectly.
It's immaculate wines like this that earned Bruce the Best Value Winery in the 2020 Halliday Wine Companion.
This is one of the best buys in all of Australian Chardonnay at the moment. You'd be mad not to.

Few wineries enjoy the feverish scramble for their new releases like Tonic Wines. And the fever is well deserved.
They make painfully small batches of wine and with the excellent quality and value over the last few vintages, it's no surprise.
This Chardonnay is sourced from the Bowe-Lees vineyard in Woodside, Adelaide Hills. The 2019 vintage spent 24 hours on its skins before being basket pressed to barrel where it lay untouched, unstirred on lees for around 9 months. No malo.
Simple yet incredibly successful winemaking. With only a small allocation available, this may be your last chance to try this fascinating take on Chardonnay. Don't hesitate.

The Yarra Valley is one of the homes of Australian Chardonnay. Getting the best out of Chardonnay from this region is definitely an area of expertise for Mac Forbes.
If you like a more linear, modern expression of the variety, walk this way. All of his Chardonnays strike that lovely balance between elegance, finesse, and freshness. They’re fine-boned, pure and superb to drink. It's a blend of fruit from our Healesville, Hoddles Creek and Woori Yallock vineyards, designed to capture the essence of Yarra Valley Chardonnay.
This may be Mac’s ‘entry level’ Chardonnay but each year the consistency of this label continues to impress. This is quintessential modern Yarra Chardonnay and offers terrific value.
It will mature beautifully over the medium term.
