About The Pack
There are many who think that Chardonnay is Australia's best grape.
Not Shiraz. Not Grenache.
When you taste the six on offer here, it's mighty hard to argue.
Here's six outstanding Chardonnays from six of the best in the business. This pack will only be available for a limited time due to the scarce nature of some of these wines. Perfect for the avid Chardonnay fan.
2017 Hoddles Creek 1er Yarra Valley Chardonnay
The Hoddles Creek 1er Chardonnay is a wine of exceptional class and intensity.
Made exclusively from fruit grown on the Hoddles Creek estate, this is one of the Yarra Valley's benchmark Chardonnays. The fruit that winemaker Franco D'Anna had to work with in 2017 was as good as any fruit the Yarra has seen in a decade or more.
Immensely cellar-worthy and tightly wound, the 2017 vintage will go down as one of the great releases of this wine, though due to lower yields in 2017 allocations are limited. This vintage received 95 points from Campbell Mattinson.
This is premium Chardonnay done the Yarra Valley way. Buy with supreme confidence.Read more about 2017 Hoddles Creek 1er Yarra Valley Chardonnay
2017 Sorrenberg Chardonnay
If you are an avid collector of Beechworth's finest Chardonnays then this stunning Chardonnay from Barry and Jan Morey of Sorrenberg needs a place in your cellar.
The cooler site that the Sorrenberg vineyard occupies gives off Chardonnay of elegance and purity, with Barry's winemaking gently building power and texture through 100% barrel fermentation in an astute mixture of new and used oak.
This is a striking, characterful Chardonnay from a gem of a producer.

2017 Garagiste Merricks Chardonnay
The Merricks Chardonnay is the most sought-after of the Garagiste white wines.
It's the most powerful of Barney's Chardonnays, the kind of wine that blows your hair back. The fruit was as good as it gets in 2017 on the Peninsula: ripe, balanced and incredibly intense - the perfect raw materials for Barney to strut his Chardy-making stuff.
Barney is one of the finest Chardonnay makers in the region and this 2017 release is some of his best work to date.
If you've loved his wines in the past, the 2017 is a knockout not to be missed. If you're yet to give them a shot, prepare to have your world rocked by this boutique artisanal producer.Read more about 2017 Garagiste Merricks Chardonnay
2015 Eastern Peake Intrinsic Chardonnay
Cracking Chardonnay here from Owen Latta.
No new oak used here, the fruit put front and centre. The wine is raised in wooden barrels of varying sizes that are anywhere from 2-years-old to 25-years-old. The finished wine has a magnetism and energy to it which you can't quite put your finger on.
This is just the latest in the series of blistering wines coming from this young man. An individual Chardonnay of great character and awesome value given the quality.
Gary Walsh scored it 96 points, and rightfully so. It's a knockout.Read more about 2015 Eastern Peake Intrinsic Chardonnay
2017 Domaine Naturaliste Artus Chardonnay
After 20 years observing the area, Bruce Jukes decided all the Chardonnays from Domaine Naturaliste would be crafted entirely from the Gin Gin clone.
He selected a vineyard in the South of Margaret River that had Gin Gin cropped in a particular way, with little light flooding through the canopy. He wanted flavour intensity without the tannins that come with over-ripeness and he got it. The result of his search are the twin Chardonnays Artus and Purus.
Artus is the voluptuous seductress. The powerhouse Margaret River Chardonnay with a gymnast-like balance. 40% new oak, richness and zip in equal proportion.Read more about 2017 Domaine Naturaliste Artus Chardonnay
2017 Pooley Butchers Hill Chardonnay
This is only the second vintage of the Butcher's Hill Chardonnay from the Pooley Family, but it's starting to attract a lot of attention.
The Chardonnay fruit from this block once was a portion of the Penfold's Yattarna Chardonnay, but here it struts its own stuff.
The 2017 vintage proving to be one of the great vintages in Tasmania. In this Chardonnay you see the purity and the drive that is characteristic of this vintage.
This is a delicious, refined Chardonnay, a little rounder than its Cooinda Vale sibling, but no less sublime.Read more about 2017 Pooley Butchers Hill Chardonnay
