Majama is the label of Rojer Rathod and Millie Shorter, two hospitality lifers who have a love for Sicily's grapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRojer makes wine at M \u0026amp; J Becker by day, but his side project under Majama is picking up steam. The fruit for this 2026 is hand-picked in the Hunter and trucked to their winery at Narrabri. There it spends 10 days on skins, ferments with wild yeast and goes to bottle unfined and unfiltered with only a small dose of sulphur.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's proper aromatic. It's smalles like a fistful of wild jasmine, apricot, lychee and Turkish delight with a little salty sea spray and a warm spice edge. The palate swings to marmalade and ginger, with bright acidity and a gentle skinsy grip.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a rare grape, made with a light touch by one of the more interesting young labels in the Hunter.
