It comes from James Meyer and Robert Jaeschke's Hill River Estate, where 26-year-old vines sit at 460m on a slight southerly aspect over grey-brown loam, shale and sandy limestone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fruit is picked in the cool of the morning and only the free-run juice is fermented cool and fully dry. That gives you 10.8% alcohol, just 1.4 g\/l of residual sugar and a pH under 3. It's a little shy right now, with lemon, wet slate, a touch of white peach and a long, mouthwatering line of acidity, and there's more fruit tucked away underneath.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGreat now if you like your Rizz fresh and crisp but even better if you can leave a few bottles alone for five to ten years.
