It’s where father-and-son winemakers Paul and Ben Dahlenburg get to experiment, chasing texture, freshness and detail without the weight.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Pinot Meunier comes from the Evans Vineyard in Myrrhee, planted back in the ’90s by Peter Read. The site sits about 400 metres up on clay loam soils and has proven a great match for Meunier as the region warms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAbout a quarter of the fruit went through carbonic maceration, the rest fermented as whole berries with wild yeast. Gentle handling all the way through, then nine months in neutral French oak. The result is a bright, fine red with redcurrant, cranberry and a touch of blood orange.
