Someone brought a bottle to a dinner of Hunter Valley winemakers, and it had the whole table talking. Not bad for a grape most Australians have never heard of.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInzolia is a native Sicilian white, rarely seen outside the island. Majama sources theirs from hand-picked fruit in the warm, sunny Murray Darling, then trucks it back to their small winery on Wonnarua Country in the Hunter for pressing and a clay ferment. That clay really suits this variety. It keeps the fruit pure and adds a lovely textural, mineral edge without any oak getting in the way.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's pure and precise in the glass, with lemon zest, green apple and pear, a little chamomile and citrus blossom on the nose, and a fine salty streak. Medium bodied, bright acidity, and a nutty, slightly herbal finish with plenty of minerality. It'll drink nicely for up to five years, but it's hard to wait.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is our pick of the Majama line up. Really cool, if not a little left of center.
