Raised in a mix of cask sizes and formats from barrique to 1500L cask, plus a bit of stainless, time on lees and a few days on skins for grip, texture and aromatic depth - this is Gris levelled up.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s pale copper in the glass thanks to that skin contact, with flavours that blur the line between white and red - think just-ripe stone fruit, Turkish delight, a little citrus peel and a whisper of spice. It drinks like class rosé while also having the detail and tension of quality orange wines. That being said, it walks like a rosé and quacks like a rosé for the most part. Faint pear notes, crunchy red cherries steeped in cherry juice, light alpine herb and botanical floral notes, a crack of white pepper and dashes of watermelon rind and cranberry drink. It feels dry, shows off a suite of fine, lacy tannin, finishes with pucker and more botanical-laced freshness, almost as per a rosé vermouth.
