Its unirrigated, north-facing vines produce Chardonnay he picks before any of his other sites each vintage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fruit is pressed in whole bunches and fermented in older oak, then spends nine months resting on its fermentation lees without stirring. This gives the wine texture and depth, with oak playing a supporting role.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere’s citrus fruit, a little smoky character that we love in BArney's Chardonnays, backed by acidity that keeps the palate lively.
