A warm season got everything properly ripe without losing the balance Sorrenberg is known for.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBarry and Bernard Morey keep the crop low and ferment with wild yeasts for four weeks on skins. The wine then spends 24 months in French oak and goes to bottle without fining or filtration. It's pretty typical Sorrenberg Cab with blackcurrant and blackberry with a little white pepper and spice. It's a touch more generous than usual, with a rich mouthfeel and fine, silky tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's drinking beautifully right now, but there's plenty of structure here to reward a decade in the cellar.
