Just half a hectare in size, this south-facing site sits along the lower Derwent River, eight kilometres north of the estate.

Cool conditions, including the local ‘Bridgewater Jerry’ fog, help preserve freshness. Unsettled weather during flowering reduced the 2024 crop, but careful vineyard work delivered healthy fruit with concentrated flavour and bright acidity.

The fruit has depth and intensity, with a freshness that keeps the palate lively and the oak in support. This is an excellent southern Tassie Pinot for the cellar or a special occasion.

96+ points
"Sourced from a tiny 0.5ha vineyard on the east side of the lower Derwent River... More depth here yet not sacrificing tension and cut. Structured with fine, chalky tannins and a beautiful stony flair on the finish. A cracker from a superb vintage."
- Dave Brookes (Halliday Wine Companion)

95+ points
"Cherry, spice, earth, pencil, dried rose perfume, orange peel. Medium-bodied, a good sweep of graphite tannin, a rose oil and thyme perfume, cool balanced acidity offers a good bit of crunch... Really good.
