It’s no surprise this ended up taking out Halliday’s Sauvignon Blanc of the Year.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStraight away the wine sits in a citrus and herb spectrum more lemon skin, lime flesh and a bit of fresh fennel than anything tropical. There’s a faint stone fruit note in the background too, but it stays subtle. The palate is tight and focused, carrying that clean citrus drive with a chalky edge that gives it a bit of grip and shape. No sweetness, no blousy bits, just crisp, well handled fruit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt finishes long and calm, with the acidity feeling natural rather than sharp.
