These free-draining, rocky soils limit vine growth and produce tiny berries with concentrated flavour, which Christian and Matthias select through several late picking passes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA few hours on skins precede gentle pressing, followed by wild fermentation in stainless steel and wooden barrels. Six months on lees builds texture around the wine’s naturally firm structure. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFlint, grapefruit and wild herbs lead into a taut, concentrated palate with a salty edge and fine grip. It’s punchy and persistent, with bright acidity carrying the fruit through a long finish.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis is a brilliant companion to the creamier Appenheim 1G, showing another side of the brothers’ Rieslings.
