The vines here were planted in 1960 and sit on almost no topsoil, just a measly 15cm of earth before the roots hit pure limestone rock.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the glass, it shows a pale, luminous colour and an immediate, steely energy on the nose. True to the 2023 vintage, the wine is incredibly fresh and transparent. There's a perfect balance across the palate between the ripe, slightly green-edged orchard fruit and a very subtle hint of high-quality wood that offers great backing without ever dominating.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis isn't a front-loaded white Burgundy; it is a wine that builds and expands toward the back of the palate, showing amazing structural tension.
