The soils are classic Rugiens – iron-rich red clay over limestone – and they give the wines their depth, structure and signature mineral stamp.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"581\" data-end=\"1010\"\u003eLeroux’s holding covers 0.6 hectares across three small parcels, with vines ranging from 25 to 90 years old. The mix of vine age adds layers and complexity, and in 2023 half the bunches went in whole. The result is a Pommard that’s dark, powerful and structured, but with the kind of finesse and fine tannins Leroux has built his reputation on.
