Fragrant, piercing, long and fine, a beautiful, fine-boned red of levity, freshness and bitey, thirst-quenching tang. F

About the Wine
Grenache loves McLaren Vale, and it seems that punters definitely love McLaren Vale Grenache. The Worlds Apart Someone Great arose from a desire to create something lighter than the usually full-bodied offerings there. The result is lots of freshness and acidity, red fruit characters, and some tannin grip, without the high level of alcohol.
This is a wine that can cellar for several years before it'll be showing its best, although if opening it in the short term, decant it and let it breathe for a few hours – like you might do for a heftier McLaren Vale Grenache – and then enjoy the spoils of your patience.
About Worlds Apart
Worlds Apart is the small adventurous label of winemaker Louis Schofield and chef Hannah Jeffery.
Louis was the protege and assistant winemaker of the late Taras Ochota. From the Ochota Barrels wine studio Louis sharpened his winemaking skills and attacks the World Apart wines with a similar low-intervention but high attention to detail philosophy.
The grapes come from small local growers who farm with a sustainable ideology. These are small-batch, high-energy wines that pop out of the glass with loads of personality.
