About the Wine
Gamay is a grape growing in popularity in Australia, and those who work with it tend to love what it can offer. The Adelaide Hills have become a popular region for growing the grape, and the Worlds Apart Blue Eyes Gamay is a demonstration of what can be achieved.
While it's quite a savoury wine, there is some lovely primary, red fruits on show and some acid zing to keep things lively. With lovely balance between all the different components, this is a Gamay that is sure to please.
About Worlds Apart
Worlds Apart is the small adventurous label of winemaker Louis Schofield and chef Hannah Jeffery.
Louis was the protege and assistant winemaker of the late Taras Ochota. From the Ochota Barrels wine studio Louis sharpened his winemaking skills and attacks the World Apart wines with a similar low-intervention but high attention to detail philosophy.
The grapes come from small local growers who farm with a sustainable ideology. These are small-batch, high-energy wines that pop out of the glass with loads of personality.
