This is textural and engaging, clean as a whistle, and walks a tightrope between being pretty and grunty. It's both. I like it.

About The Wine
This is Vino Volta's ode to the iconic skin contact wines of Friuli-Venezia in Northern Italy.
Made from Perth Hills and Geographe Gewurztraminer and Swan Valley Frontignac, this looks and tastes... pink! Both varieties were picked and fermented for three weeks on skins, before moving into separate old barriques for seven months on their lees, and then blended.
If you're a fan of skin contact wines, or even roses, this is a perfect Summer go-to. Deliciously different!
About Vino Volta
Vino Volta is part of the exciting new breed of vanguard producers emerging from the Swan Valley region in Western Australia.
Between Garth Cliff and Kristen McGann, they have a collective four decades worth of experience in Western Australian Wine.
During his position as winemaker at WA icon, Houghton, Garth saw the potential of the great old vine fruit in the Swan Valley going to waste. The couple have made it their mission to turn the spotlight on this unsung region through a creative and diverse set of wines featuring the regional hero varieties Chenin Blanc and Grenache.
An ex-Houghton winemaker might conjure up thoughts of conservative wine. These creations are anything but. These are fun, flamboyant, and contemporary wines made with a sense of adventure and experimentation.
