About The Wine
The Serra da Estrela Albarino is the kind of wine you wish you could be drinking on a Spanish beach.
Made with a focus on freshness, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and the fermentation is temperature controlled, to retain the delicate aromatics. Citrus is the name of the game here, with some zesty notes, and a pronounced minerality on the palate plus a very pleasing saline element, that really reminds you of the sea (even if you're on the couch).
This is a fun and fruity wine that will go really well with tapas or some lightly spicy meals.
About Adegas Valminor
Adegas Valminor is based in the Spanish region of Rias Baixas, found in the northwestern corner of Spain near the Portuguese border.
Established in 1997, the approach is to capture the terroirs of the local vineyards, using modern and traditional methods, such as vines trained along wires or in large pergolas, while winemaker Cristina Mantilla pursues a minimal-intervention strategy.
Adegas Valminor has a range of labels, focusing on well-known grapes such as Albarino, as well as rarer ones like Tinta Castanal, Brancellao (Alvarelhao), and Caino Tinto (Borracal).
