About The Wine
The Protero Pinots is a blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, but this is definitely a white wine - and a really attractive one at that.
It's essentially a Pinot Gris with a bit of extra stuffing. Steve Pannell has posed the question "why can't we take Pinot Gris seriously?", and through this release he aims to remind us why it deserves a place in our glasses.
Very floral and herby, a spring walk in the garden type of wine. Nice detail and length with some chalky tannin evident.
About S.C. Pannell

Steve’s wines are made with modern Australian food and wine culture at the front of mind. The wines come from a range of stunning McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills vineyards, and are made from sustainable varieties that properly suit his South Australian climate.
