About the Wine
Both Charlie & Skye spent a vintage making wine in Burgundy over a decade ago.
Making an Australian version of Chardonnay that could scratch that White Burgundy itch had always been a dream of theirs, and it's one they've achieved right here in this wine,
They found some excellent Chardonnay from the Bowyer Ridge Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills farmed by the Rosback family. And they've put it to very good use.
It's a very tidy wine, slender but with plenty of fruit. It's gorgeous and a mighty fine release from this McLaren Vale duo.
About Paralian
Paralian is a family-based South Australia outfit, founded by Charlie Seppelt and Skye Salter.
After a combined 46 vintages both in Australia and broad, the two decided to dial their lives and professional careers into the place they both fell in love with, McLaren Vale. It's the spot that has the three things they care about: special sites, surf and sand.
They have great long-standing relationships with some of the region's top growers from their previous roles working at blue chip wineries. Those friendships are now giving them access to some phenomenal fruit. It's the perfect foundation for them build their small artisan brand.
Just a couple of vintages in and the critical reviews have been huge. Paralian is one of the budding wine projects to watch in McLaren Vale.

Single Vineyard Chardonnay, fruit sourced from ‘Bowyer Ridge Vineyard’, Adelaide Hills grown by the Rosback family.
Hand-picked fruit, whole bunch pressed, the free run only was drained and fermented in French oak barrels - 33% new, majority in larger 500L puncheons. 100% wild ferment, left on lees in barrel for full malolactic fermentation while stirring regularly to build texture.
Intense and complex aromas of flint and grapefruit with stone fruit overtones. Palate wise sees layers of phenolics supported by fleshy fruit, lees complexity and streamlined acidity. There’s touches of exotic white florals, fresh yogurt and sleek oak, with a comforting almond meal line. The drive of palate is long and flavoursome, a hallmark of this vineyard.

It’s glossy and rich, almond and cashew, a little spice, white peach, lemon essence, firm grapefruity acidity, and a fine chalky texture. Powerful through the finish, but tight and flinty too. Warehouse Pickupis available from our Sydney warehouse in Ultimo, 2007. Just select Local Pickup at checkout. We are open 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Do I have to order in dozens? No, please mix it up! You can order wines in any quantity and variation you like. You can order 1 bottle or 50. We challenge you to make the ultimate mixed pack of wine!
Are there volume discounts? No, our pricing is designed to be the best in market already - no marking up and then discounting down! For very large orders (weddings, etc) we are open to negotiating though. Just give us a call.
Do we price match? Yes, within reason. Everyday low & consistent pricing is something we strongly believe in. We want our customers to feel confident they are always getting the best price. If you see a price lower somewhere else let us know and we'll consider matching it. We'll even retrospectively issue you store credit if you have already purchased from us but you see a lower price somewhere later on. Our price match policy can be seen here.
Can coupons and discounts be stacked? No, only one discount or coupon can be applied to an order at once.
I am trying to add more of a wine to my cart but it won’t let me? This means we are running low on stock of that wine. So for example, if the website will only allow you to add 3 bottles and no more, then that is all we have of that particular wine. The good news is we may be able to order more for you. Just contact us on 02 8376 8775 or hello@differentdrop.com and we'll organise the additional quantity for you.
Does Different Drop have a physical store? No. Just an a warehouse/office. We occasionally do events however, so sign up to our newsletter or follow us on instagram to stay in the loop.
Can I special order a wine you do not sell? If it’s doable, then we’ll make it happen. Just contact us directly via phone, chat or email and we’ll find out for you right away. Please note that in most cases special orders such as these will need to be in full case lots (6 or 12 bottles).
