About the Wine
Michael Downer can do no wrong when it comes to his fleet of wonderful reds, and this entry level Cabernet dominant blend is a fantastic go-to for a mid week quaffer.
The drinkability is off the charts - casual and relaxed, yet a lively and energetic wine filled with fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics you know and love, backed up with extra intrigue from supporting characters like Merlot and Syrah.
It may not be the most complex blend you'll ever drink in your life, but it sure overdelivers for the price point.
About Murdoch Hill
Murdoch Hill is a family-owned winery captained by talented young winemaker Michael Downer.
Downer splits the range in two: his clean-cut, consistently high-quality ‘Estate’ wines are excellent value and perpetually reliable, and his quirky, adventurous ‘Artisan’ wines which offer an alt-styling and different shades of the region.
With the combination of high-quality Adelaide Hills fruit grown on the family estate and the undoubted talent in the winery, this is a Hills producer on the up and up!
