Light, fresh, savoury expression... Feels very Italianate.

About The Wine
Here's a fun-loving easy-drinking, sloshy, slurpy red from all-round good dude, Sam Leyshon at Mallaluka.
Sangiovese isn't typically the variety you think of when looking for a 'smashable' red wine. The tannins are often too dry, the wines to chunky and imposing for easy-drinking. Sam tames the variety with a deft touch here.
It's medium bodied, supple and silky smooth to drink. Not a complex 'thinking wine' but guaranteed to be one of the first bottles finished at your next BBQ.
About Mallaluka
Mallaluka is a family affair in the Canberra district of NSW.
These estate-grown wines are made by second generation vigneron Sam Leyshon who has most recently learnt to ply his trade assisting Bryan Martin and Tim Kirk at Clonakilla.
These are modern wines that reflect the changing face of this exciting region. He makes wines with a wild side, with minimal intervention and are insane value for money.
With Sam in the driver's seat, Mallaluka is one of the rising stars of the region, bringing a unique light and shade to the Canberra district.
