Light and bright on the tongue...a zipline of acidic crunch that keeps things vibrant.
About The Wine
Larry Jacobs and his Hahndorf Hill team certainly aren't afraid to do things a little differently, and this Rosé is different indeed!
This release is made from (mostly) Trollinger grapes, with a few other red varieties thrown in too. For those who are not familiar with Trollinger, it's a little known German variety that was planted in the Hahndorf Hill vineyard by its original German owners, along with another of the winery's specialities, Blaufrankisch.
Trollinger is a soft, fruit-forward grape that works well in this delicious little Rosé. A crisp, crunchy Rosé of very high quality and something a little bit different.
About Hahndorf Hill
Hahndorf Hill Winery (HHW) is owned by Larry Jacobs and Marc Dobson, who operate the boutique business together with a dedicated team.
Larry was once an intensive-care doctor who gave up medicine to become the founder of Mulderbosch Vineyards in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
His trailblazing label in the Adelaide Hills is regarded as the benchmark in Australia for Austrian varieties, this stuff is world class.
